Management Profile:
Robert Starr,
President and Owner
I am Robert Starr, owner of IMBC Blowmolding Inc. I have been blowmolding since 1978, which is when I started for BEKUM in Germany as a Service Technician. After some years of servicing equipment and setting up plants around the world, I transferred to the Canadian BEKUM office in 1981.
I started IMBC in 1989 in a small 7,000 square foot unit in Orangeville, Ontario. From the outset, IMBC has been set up to handle total flexibility on any type of order. Big or small, we handle it all. My ideals were always to run a Blowmolding plant that provides top rate service to its customers while developing a work environment that encourages individuals to top performance. I have used the ever increasing demand for higher quality to encourage and implement the use of quality systems such as ISO 9002, QS 9000 and now TS 16949 to set higher benchmarks for ourselves.
I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented people in the industry and some of those people are with me at IMBC Blowmolding. I am proud to have had long associations with the people around me, staff and customers alike.

Jim Heaps,
VP Sales & Marketing
My introduction to this field began well before I started to work in it but the inception came from the 1967 movie "The Graduate"
Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word.
Benjamin: Yes, sir.
Mr. McGuire: Are you listening?
Benjamin: Yes, I am.
Mr. McGuire: Plastics.
Benjamin: Just how do you mean that, sir?
Since 1981 while working as a student at the technical center of DuPont Plastics I have been either directly or indirectly involved in the wonderful world of Plastics.
After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering I have always liked being tied to polymers and what can be done with them. I learned quickly after graduating that I like the business of plastics more than the engineering aspects so I launched into Sales and Marketing.
With experience gained from manufacturing and distribution over my career I have found it particularly rewarding to find customers with a need and filling those needs with a solution.
My personal goal is to help to grow the business to the next level by providing exactly that service to our current and future customers. At IMBC the goal is to do just that so my fit with this blow molding company is perfect.
