IMBC services two main sectors within the auto industry; automotive components and automotive additives. The automotive additive portion deals with containers for such materials as: gas, oil, transmission fluid and various other types of lubricants.
Material Matters
There are a number of chemicals used to create automotive additives that are strong enough to weaken the plastic of
some standard bottles. Because of this the material used to
construct the bottles for the automotive additive sector varies
depending on the fluid's chemical compatibility. Materials such as Barex (resin) posses a chemical resistance that allows for the product and the packaging to maintain it's integrity. We create our automotive additive products using a variety of different resins including HDPE, PVC, P.E.T., and the aforementioned Barex. At IMBC we will conduct chemical resistance tests using PVC, PETG, Barex, PC, HDPE, among other materials, to help you establish the right
material for your specific application.
Features
IMBC offers a number of features that are important to those in the automotive additive industry. Among them is the view stripe. The view stripe is a clear plastic strip on the side of the bottle that allows you to measure how much of the product remains without having to open the bottle.
